See what happens when a badass meets her brutish match!

This book gave me all the feels, literally ALL of the feels. It was funny in the right moments, deep when it needed to be, sexy hot most of the time, and after I finished reading it, I felt as if I was floating on clouds. I loved everything about this book. The main characters were literally made for each other, both have SUPER strong personalities that would clash with anyone else and it was a great read (but I would expect nothing less from Pippa Grant).

He’s the biggest, baddest, most spider-fearing motherpucker on the ice…

When you’re named after the king of the gods, the world expects certain things of you.

Tough? Damn right.

Smart? Don’t let the hockey uniform fool you.

Large and in charge? Honey, I’m the biggest, baddest, mother pucking-est machine to ever own the ice. I shoot. I score. In and out of the rink. I don’t come early, but I come often, if you know what I mean. And I always leave the ladies wanting more.

Until that chick last night.

I’m no one-thrust wonder, and you’re damn right I’m going to prove to her I can do better. But every time I think I’m finally on my way back into her pants, she one-ups and out-balls me.

I should cut my losses, lick my wounds, and walk away.

But Zeus Berger doesn’t walk away from anything.

Especially when she’s the only woman in the world who might be able to handle me.

My Thoughts <3

Joey, our leading lady, has the biggest balls ever. You know how you say you want to be someone when you grow up? Well she is strong, independent, loyal, and just a MAJOR badass. She does not “need” a guy in her life, in fact, with most guys she is just straight up not attracted to them and does not waste her time on duds. She loves hard though, her sister (Gracie) and her other co-owner of her company  (Peach) are two people that she would kill for. Literally.

Zeus is Sia’s (from Mr. McHottie) hockey playing brother and is absolutely larger than life, the only thing bigger than him (other than his twin brother) is his ego. He doesn’t get embarrassed easily and just owns being a huge powerhouse, on and off the ice. He is a lot of man and has not had a lady be able to put up with him and all of his crazy antics. He does not let many people in to actually SEE who he is and just owns the big blundering hockey player that is his persona.

Zeus meets Joey and is immediately attracted to her badass-ness and wants her, which totally confuses her because she is not usually the one to rev guys’ engines. She gives him a chance to get her off and then go back to her life, but it goes HORRIBLY wrong and leaves her utterly disappointed and Zeus begging for a redo to prove he is better than that.

This entire story is absolutely wonderful and has some incredibly deep and real feelings. This is one of my favorites by Pippa Grant, and you definitely should check it out!
