Title: The Revenge Plan
Author: Linda Kage
Genre: Contemporary New Adult Romance
Release Date: April 29, 2019
Book Blurb
After I caught my boyfriend cheating, I tried to be mature about it with an amicable split. But he took his retaliation too far, and I have officially had enough. No more Miss Nice Haven.
No one is allowed to lie to me, betray, embarrass, and devastate me, fill me with self-doubt, or put my future at risk, and expect to get away with it. He is going to feel my wrath.
Enter Wick Webster, his archenemy.
Nothing would provoke my ex more than to see me moving on with the one guy he hates most, so that’s exactly what I plan to do.
The only hitch in my brilliant scheme is Wick himself. He’s just gotta be all love-not-war and peace-is-the-only-way. He’s more concerned about helping me heal than seeking my sweet revenge.
And what the hell is it about his soothing presence and yummy looks that calls to me until I forget how much pain I’m in? He’s making it awfully hard to use and abuse him for my malicious means. The damn guy is making me fall for him.

My Thoughts <3
I give this book a 3.5 outta 5 rating. It had some extremely enjoyable moments, but also some confusing and lackluster moments. I will admit that this was my first book by Linda Kage, and from reading about her more, I know that is definitely something I need to fix and stat!
Here’s my thoughts on the book:
What I really liked:
The cover
The blurb
Wick
Izzy
The first few chapters
What I was not a fan of:
Haven
The underlying situation
SUPER slow burn
This book’s underlying premise was a little hard to take in. I enjoyed the build up and how the author introduced the characters, but after that it was just a little bit lackluster and long to me. Don’t get me wrong, I like slow burns a freaking lot, but I could not connect with the characters or the situation. It was interesting, but almost showed me that the two characters are not as strong as I realized.
That being said, it did have it’s moments and Wick is one of the sweetest guys that I have read in a freaking long time!
