SM Soto has this amazing ability to blend passion, love, and cruelty into something beautiful and have you absolutely hooked to find out what is going to happen next. This book is no exception and is actually a continuation of a series by other authors, but it is a complete standalone as well.
Percivale is not by any means considered a ‘good man’ by anyone. He is a hired killer bringing justice when he is told to by his mentor. He had a horrible life after watching the mob kill his father and brothers and then loosing his mom shortly after, violence is all he knows. He also cannot fathom why this little baker that is supposed to be his next target absolutely captivates him.
Blossom is the definitely of pure goodness and a little bit of naivety as well. I love when she shows her claws though and does not let Percivale push her around, even though that is a bit hard because he is freaking huge and well you know, a killer.
What happens when these two meet? Does Percivale decide to forgo vengeance for some light in his life? And HOW does it happen?
Such a good read and has some heavy topics, but I freaking loved all of it– the story line, the characters, and the steam. This book is a definitely must read for any fan of dark romance novels! <3
