This book felt like coming home- so happy to be back in the Copper Valley hockey and baseball world!
Ready for a blast from the past in the form of Duncan Lavoie? I am a long time reader and fan of Pippa Grant so while this is a complete standalone and you do NOT need to read other books, boy did it make it even better! Seeing my favorite other characters together along with having all the feels being a tagalong on Duncan and Addie’s ride was just so freaking fulfilling to read.
While I always love reading the humor, steam, and heart in books by this author, I was laughing out loud and could not stop during multiple parts of this book. So funny, with so many different emotions, and let’s not forget a slow burn that absolutely sizzled. I loved seeing the growth of both Duncan and Addie and was swept away from the very beginning and couldn’t wait to see how everything played out. Let’s just say that I was not disappointed in the least bit!
I wasn’t lying when I said this book felt like coming home. It is definitely something special on it’s own but man did I love that it incorporated all things Thrusters and Fireballs including some of my favorites. I hope this isn’t goodbye to the Cooper Valley world, but if it is, Pippa Grant did it spectacularly! I 100% recommend you read this ASAP- whether you are a long time fan like me or looking for your next romcom, you will not regret it! Can’t wait to see what is next!
