This book will hit you right in the feels. With a combination of past and present, I dare you to not get choked up while reading Release by Aly Martinez. This book is filled with heartache and hope and some pretty huge bombs.
I loved how the entire book was about time, 12 years since Thea had seen Ramsey. Their love was not easy, but 12 years later, it almost seemed impossible. How can you get your best friend back after he was sentenced to 12 years for something that you deemed as your fault? Who will be the one that emerges from that prison?
Release seriously will give you all of the feels. This is in no way shape or form a lighthearted read. It is raw, it is gritty, but it is FULL of emotions. Hate, love, remorse, lust. I was hooked from the very first paragraph and could NOT put it down. If you are looking for a deeply emotional read, you need to read this book right away. I liked the characters and the story was intense and captivating- it is a 4.5 outta 5 stars from me!
