“You once told me we have to choose our regrets”

Winter Renshaw, you wrote an amazing story here! I am a huge fan of the first two books in this series and was extremely excited for this story to come out and I was not disappointed!

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars, read why below!

Dear Ms. Keane,

Before this ridiculous little arrangement commences, I’d like to make myself indubitably clear: I know who you are, I know that my father hired you, I know why my father hired you, and last but not least: your services aren’t needed.

In fact, I want no part of my father’s billion-dollar empire, and him “gifting” me with one of the “best concierges in the county” won’t change that. He’s wasting his money. You’re wasting your time.

However, seeing as how you foolishly signed an ironclad contract with an Act of God clause and my father has strong-armed me into taking this position, it appears as though we’re stuck together—at least until your contract is up next month.

That said, our time together at WellesTech should be relatively painless but please don’t fool yourself into thinking I don’t notice when that pretty little stare lingers a little too long or the way your breath catches when our hands graze. You’re fascinated by me and it kills you because you can hardly stand to be in the same room as me.

Think I’m a problem worth solving? An impossible riddle worth figuring out? By all means, go ahead and try. Solve for X. Crack the code. It might even be fun (but only for me, not you).

V/r,

Calder Welles, II

P.S. I dare you.

My Thoughts <3

Oh wow, what do you do when you combine two completely opposite people and put them in a high stress situation? Sparks fly, tensions are raised, and inappropriate things happen!

Aerin is a Type A workaholic that prides herself on being the best and having a perfect record. After having a childhood that was anything but structured, she works diligently to never be that way again. She gets hired by a billionaire CEO to help his recluse and estranged son transition to be the new CEO.

When Aerin meets Calder, they definitely butt heads since they are SO different!

Calder Welles Jr is the opposite of Aerin, after growing up with a rigged childhood, he prefers his carefree and less structured life. After his mother died, his father turned cold and shipped him off to military school and structure was basically forced upon him without love. The thought of being stuck in a boardroom day after day makes him want to throw up and even more so by being forced to be around his father.

Most of the story is a delicate dance between Calder and Aerin trying not to give in to each other. We also find out more about their backgrounds and how and why they are the way that they are. Aerin is fiesty, but has a crazy awesome sweet site. Readers can see the Calder still struggles with his father even though it has been years since he has seen him. He goes full asshole when Aerin points out things about his past, but he is also intrigued by her. I enjoy seeing him turn softer and discovering that he can have a heart.

Side Note: I think that Calder’s father knew exactly what he was doing throwing Aerin to Calder as he believes that she is exactly what he needs.

Is a month long enough for Calder and Aerin to fall in love?

Or is unreal to believe that they can have their happily ever after?
