What a great book! I am a huge fan of the series and started with the first one and was definitely looking forward to Joel’s book…. this did NOT disappoint!
I was laughing throughout the majority of this book. Katrina does not make it easy on Joel to ask her out and resists him for months every Thursday when he stops by her coffee shop to grab a cup of joe and ask her out. She secretly loves their interactions, but it is not just her that she has to worry about. She has a 3 year old son that she cares about more than anything else. She is also pretty freaking protective of him and does not want to admit that she needs help– she is basically super woman!
While she keeps putting of Joel he keeps seeing her and thinks about her more often and wants to actually try to date date her and not just let her be one of his flavors of the week. It so happens that she needs Joel’s help with something and that is what opens the door for them to get to know each other more.
It was so freaking sweet to see this manwhore get tied into knots over this sweet but sassy lady. I absolutely loved the comedy, heat, and story line that came into play in this book. All in all it was exactly what I wanted and cannot wait for the next story!!
