WOW! Ok, so I have been an avid Jaine Diamond reader starting with Dirty, falling in love with ALL of them, especially Ashley Player, and then that love continued into his series, The Players, and that opened up even more love that I could have thought it would when going into the Vancity Villains series, but NOTHING prepared me for Johnny O’Reilly’s book. I felt a thunderstorm of emotions while reading the Dirty series, I felt goosebumps while reading about The Players series, and while I have loved the others in the Vancity Villains series, I felt EVERYTHING while reading Wicked Angel.
My gosh delving into this world is like coming home in the best possible way. Jaine Diamond has this way of really opening the door and letting you feel and understand her characters and let me tell you that this book was everything I couldn’t have even hoped for with Johnny O. I knew he was complex and while he was in the background with a lot of the other books, there is so much to him than anyone could have guessed.
I will NOT go into any spoilers, but just know that this book is something special, and while I have read the other books in this world that make my emotions go in a tailspin, nothing compares to everything I feel right now after just closing finishing this book. If you are fan of the Dirty world, you need this book in your hands ASAP. If you are not a fan, then you must not have read the same books I have, so go ahead and start from the beginning!
I would rate this book 10 out of 5 stars if I could, so freaking good!
