My Thoughts <3
The Smartypants Romance series keep me happy and sane during this chaotic and messy world right now and I was SO happy to see the introduction of a new series, but not new characters, nope this is an origin story of some Green Valley favorites and it was done SO FREAKING WELL!
First I want to start off about the writing style and overall story. Chelsie Edwards has such a way with words that you will feel the situations and words right down to your bones. It was eloquent and beautiful and I loved everything about it. I especially loved the tidbits that long time fans of Penny Reid would love as well, these tidbits were administered at just the right moments and intertwined perfectly in the story. Not only that, she touches on hard subjects and portrays the characters just right.
All in all, the author did a great job with this book by creating a heartfelt and deep story that fans of Penny Reid will be super excited about, but others will enjoy the story as well for what it is- absolutely beautiful! 5 stars from me!
