Blurb

I would do anything for my best friend.

Well. Almost anything.

When she begs me to come on a weekend getaway so I can bond with her new boyfriend, I can’t say no—no matter how badly I want to. After all, who will keep an eye on the guy; he’s your stereotypical, professional football player (emphasis on PLAYER) and I don’t trust him with my friends heart.

Worse? He has the nerve to bring his single best friend Davis on the trip, too. Davis is too handsome, so funny and smart he can’t possibly be human. Grandma’s, babies and kittens all fall for his smile.

In fact, everyone adores but me **narrows eyes** What’s he hiding?

I refuse to fall for his act; at some point he’ll will drop the Good Guy act and show his true colors: he’s a player, too. He must be.

You know the saying: if he seems too good to be true, he probably is.

My Thoughts <3

I want to start this review off by saying that I really enjoy reading Sara Ney, her books are always so funny and filled with tons of feels too and The Player Hater definitely has those traits! That being said, it took me a HOT minute to warm up to our leading lady, Juliet. She came across as kind of awful in the beginning, but once the story progressed, I could see the reason why she had such a prickly outer shell and enjoyed seeing her progress throughout the story. Now Davis on the other hand, I freaking adored him from the beginning. He is totally my kind of guy and I loved just how down to earth he is.

While it took me a little bit to warm up to our leading lady, I enjoyed how the story played out and seeing Juliet and Davis’ connection grow. They were both so REAL that I could see how the story could play out in real life and that made the story relatable and a great read! I totally give it 4.5 outta 5 stars and enjoyed reading it!

PS: Thank you to Sara Ney and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.
