I received an ARC of this book from this author and was interested in it because the blurb and cover, I absolutely adore friends to lovers romances. This was a cute and sweet read that might be a little bit predictable, but still enjoyable.
Meadow (awesome name) and Dexter have known each other for freaking ever. They were best friends growing up and even live together now. They have an easy friendship which borders along flirting with how playful they are.
On Meadow’s birthday, the two get extremely close and hook up even though they are super drunk. Meadow wakes up super excited and believes that everything is about to change between them, well not everything but at least more of the physical stuff. But then Dexter wakes up and acts as if nothing happens….. because he does not remember.
Meadow is devastated and cannot go back to the way that things were so she devices a plan to help her get her man realize he is in love with her too by showcasing his jealous side. Like I said I really liked this story, though it was a bit predictable. The characters are super real and I really felt Meadow’s pain when everything went down.
4 outta 5 stars from me and I will definitely be checking this author out again!
