I have never read Lisa Kamps before and after reading this book I am seriously scratching my head and wondering why that has never happened before! This was a super awesome read. It had a fresh take from the normal military reads as it was not a specific opp that was scheduled by the team but more of a in the wrong place at the wrong time kind of thing.

Ryder’s sister and her best friend are semi-volunteers semi-staff for a non profit company that is building a school for a secluded island that does not have a specific place to learn. They came across something that looked a little bit weird and it freaked them out so Allison, Ryder’s sister, calls her brother to come and check out what is going on.

Let’s just say that Ryder is not super thrilled to be showing up under false pretenses especially with Ninja, his teammate. Once they get there though they have to admit that something wonky is going on as well as home much he still cares about his old flame who happens to be his sister’s best friend Hannah. 

The heat between these two could create a freaking inferno and the scenes were freaking HOT! Also Lisa definitely kept me guessing on what was going on. She was like Hansel and Gretel dropping crumbs along the way to find to the huge bomb that she had hiding. I freaking loved it all!

This was a solid 5 star read from me!
