This book is freaking dirty in a dark dark way… but that just made it even MORE FREAKING GOOD!
I got hooked on Kerri Ann’s writing with the King and Pawn duet and now after reading Queen, I feel slightly crazed while waiting for the next installment!
Characters:
Cordero: Brother to Busta who was the main character in the King and Pawn, we were able to get a little backstory about him in the other books, but actually being in his head is freaking insane. He is the Pres to a MC group that was founded by guys that served in the military. He rules with a freaking iron first and is extremely loyal to his brothers and a pretty decent guy.
Piper: AKA Vaca, is in service to the Queen who is freaking certifiable. She is basically a slave and treated HORRIBLY. Really really horribly. I really cannot get that across any other way… it is pretty freaking bad. Even though she has been treated so poorly, you can tell she has a kind heart.
Plot:
GEEZ, I went into this story a little blind and my mouth dropped. DEFINITELY not what I was expecting, it was SO MUCH MORE! This took my head and literally spun it around. If I thought that King and Pawn were action packed, then Queen increased it tenfold! I absolutely loved it though!
STEAM:
This one is a bit tricky. I would not necessarily call it steam, but it was hot to say the least. There definitely were a few taboo scenes included in this as well as triggers for some. I will admit that scenes got a little intense, but there was some definite steam!
ALL IN ALL:
This book blew me away, I literally cannot wait until the next installment and see how things go. It ends with a bit of a cliffhanger and I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!
