For the next couple of hours, we lay together on her couch watching reruns, wrapped up in each other. We didn’t talk, but we didn’t need to, we’d done enough of that. Even though there was still so much I was keeping from her, a part of me felt lighter, better. Because now I had one less secret, one less thing hanging over my head. Holy smokes this was a great read! Y’all this is a NA revenge romance at it’s finest and I freaking loved every second of reading this book. It takes place for around 2 years and is very clear about dates so that you don’t get jumbled and confused, thank goodness!
The characters? They are complex and deep and so freaking good. I love how we get Brennan’s POV in the beginning, Skylar’s in the middle, it all flows so well keeping us informed but not overwhelmed. It was crucial to get inside of both of these characters heads to know exactly what is going on.
All in all, I loved the story, the conflict, the characters and how nothing was trivial, it all made sense!! I love it when the ‘conflict’ in a story actually makes sense and isn’t just one of the characters being a bit irrational. If you are a fan of NA books and want something a little deeper than most, I HIGHLY recommend you checking this book out. I cannot say enough good things about it!!
