Blurb

Stevie Foster thought her happy ever after would come easily after saying “I do” to her high school sweetheart at nineteen.

But twelve years later, she finds herself divorced, settling into a new home, in a new town, with a new job as an elementary teacher trying to pick up the pieces as she goes.

On top of struggling to cope with the future she always wanted versus the one she’s been dealt, she soon realizes that her new neighbor is a strict, stone-faced man she’s all too familiar with.

Lieutenant Colonel Fletcher Miller.

The man once in charge of her ex-husband’s unit.

And as if the reminder across the street of what she lost wasn’t painful enough, she also becomes his young son’s teacher.

A single dad. A divorcee. A second chance at love neither knew they’d get.

My Thoughts <3

Not going to lie, single dads totally melt my heart! It was definitely a part of what drew me to this book and let me tell you that Fletcher Miller is one heck of a man! He might be ex-military, and a big rigid, but the way that he cares for his kid is one of the sweetest things that I have read. My emotions were already running high throughout this book, but oh my goodness, I totally swooned! Not just because of that, but basically he is just amazing.

Our leading lady Stevie is someone that you can get behind too. I might not have been in the same situation as her, but this lady was STRUGGLING and to see how much she grows through the story is #LIFEGOALS. Make You Miss Me is the epidemy of slow burn romance and it just made it SO MUCH BETTER. The feels I had while reading this were STRONG and oh so REAL and I felt as if I knew both characters extremely well by the end of the book, even though it is only told through Stevie’s POV.

All in all, READ THIS BOOK NOW! It builds anticipation the way that only a GOOD slow burn romance can, but don’t worry there is some awesome chemistry in there too! It was sweet, it was heartbreaking, and it was uplifting– basically the total package. I 100% give it 5 outta 5 stars!

PS: Thank you to B Celeste and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.
