Charity Ferrell is a freaking master at having witty but emotional reads. You will get all of the feels with her books from light heartedness, to humor, to gut wrenching dramatic twits. Just Neighbors is exactly the same but by far my favorite book out of this series so far. It is an AMAZING read!
Chloe has known Kyle for freaking years as they grew up in the same town. She has hated him for years that happened from a situation back in High School and since she never received closure, it has definitely made them enemies (at least on her side). She grew up in a trailer park and was relentlessly teased by her classmates for being so. Her goal is to be a successful editor and help out her niece and nephew from her junkie sister that never rose up to be better from their beginnings.
Kyle is the golden boy of the city and his family is considered royalty. His goal is to be the best cop possible, be there for his mom and siblings, and try to get Chloe to talk to him.
Chloe and Kyle have MAJOR freaking steam and this story is absolutely heart wrenchingly perfect.
