I am on the fence about this book. I really freaking liked a lot about the book, but then there were a few things that just confused me a bit. As someone who went into this book without reading the first one, I totally recommend starting with book 1 before you check this one out! Things were explained, but it would have helped because this book has a LOT going on!
Claire has no recollection of life before 6 years ago. She was found bloody and beaten and pregnant, but no memories. Since then she has rebuilt her life and has a great supporting family in her friends and their families. Included in her new family is the Thorny Devils MC and then she meets Hulk. This guy is legit built like a Hulk, but a really freaking good guy! When Hulk sees Claire he is a goner and when she sees him she gets an immediate feeling of safe– but there was a reason she had amnesia and this reason is about to come back in her life.
All in all, this was a very interesting book. I enjoyed the characters and how they interacted with each other. I also really liked the relationship that formed between Claire and Hulk though it was SUPER INSTA-LOVE!! One of the things that I was not a fan of was how it seemed a few of the situations were just glossed over and explained in kind of an odd way. There was an explanation and then all of a sudden we have FF’d through that situation. But, this WAS an interesting read and the characters were awesome, but a lot was going on. If you like MC reads, you will still enjoy reading this and I am looking forward for more in the series!
