He said it would only hurt a little …
On her sixteenth birthday, Sleeping Beauty pricked her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. On my twenty-second, I pricked mine on the needle of a tattoo machine wielded by a beautifully complicated man who would go on to become my ruin.
Madden Ransom was a lol of things. Unfeeling. Opinionated. Rebellious. A tattoo artist with no tattoos, the man was an enigma and then some.
And while Sleeping Beauty fell into a peaceful slumber as she awaited true love’s kiss, I fell into something else entirely—my heart in the hands of a man who’d never given nor received anything remotely like love.
I know now that when Madden told me it would only hurt a little … he didn’t mean the tattoo. It turns out you can’t un-love someone, even after you find out he’s the last person you have any business loving. And that is the most painful truth of all.
Or it was … until his last confession.
My Thoughts <3
Such a great read from Winter Renshaw, I am truly in awe after reading this about the depths that people go when facing certain situations, both good and bad.
If you are looking for an easy, breezy read than this is not what you are looking for at that time. For Lila, Forever will break your heart then piece the puzzle back together and give you all the feels. It is absolutely worth the read and connecting with these amazing characters, but figured I would let y’all know that little tidbit! 🙂
The story line is a combination of past and present and I thought the author did a great job of revealing information but not overloading us as well, it was absolutely what was needed and showcased two completely opposite people connecting in an amazing way.
I am not going to give anything away to you dear reader because you need to read this ASAP, just know that this was a book that gave me ALL of the feels and I enjoyed reading it SO MUCH!
PS: I received an advanced copy of this book but am voluntarily reviewing it!
