My Thoughts <3
I want to start this off as saying that I LOVE Jaine Diamond, her Dirty series is one of my all time favorite rock star romance series and Players is quickly joining that group as well. Filthy Beautiful has her typical writing style with intense situations and SUPER hot scenes. But was a little bit different because even though her characters before were extremely jaded, the characters in this book seemed a bit more emotionally stunted and so I had no clue what they were going to do next and it kept me guessing the entire time.
I will tell you that Xander and Courteney are both amazing characters and I liked how Jaine wrote them. They are not perfect, both had childish moments, but then the next second could be super mature. It was a delicate balance that was impressive to read. I was able to connect to both characters right off the bat. I will admit that there were times that I didn’t like either of them, but that just made them feel more “real” to me!
All in all if you are looking for a rock star romance with a few heavy situations, scorching heat, and deep connections- Filthy Beautiful is TOTALLY a book you should read. It felt different from her other books (or it totally could just be me) but I enjoyed how different it was and it really set these characters apart! 5 outta 5 read from me!!!
