I swear this book touched my soul! I have been a huge fan of Maya Hughes since the first Kings book and have loved reading and learning about each of the Kings. Each book I read had me liking that King even more, but man oh man do I mean it when I say that Ford definitely has captured my heart.
This fierce and brave man that is loyal and good has been through so freaking much. We do not know to much about him from the previous books other than he was a great supportive friend but we saw the lingering glances between him and Liv, Colm’s sister. That set this up to be a highly anticipated read for me and it did not disappoint!
This book is full of miscommunications and wrong timing but it showcases that things do work out the way that they should even if it does not seem like it. It also paves the way for the main question: can you be with the person that you are meant to be with if it hurts so many around you?
I loved the characters! Ford and Liv are both such genuinely good and focused people and the slow burn between them had it even more exciting!
