TAYLOR
I’m that rich girl whose silver spoon was snatched right out of her pretty mouth.
I lost everything.
Now my everyday reality includes sleeping in my car and dining on whatever clearance bin food I can purchase with spare change.
But my issues don’t end there.
My nightmare family is hot on my heels and demanding something I don’t have.
They won’t give up until I crack.
And I’m just on the brink.
When I finally hit rock bottom I fall into the arms of an unlikely savior.
Kellan Gentry.
Brash and arrogant. Prince of the party scene. Notorious flirt.
The kind of guy who would break your heart with a shrug.
Falling for him makes no sense…
Right?
KELLAN
I used to be careless.
I used to be all about chasing trouble and good times.
But watching my own family go through hell changed everything.
Now I just want to stay on a steady path and make them proud.
Then along comes Taylor Briggs.
Two years ago we hooked up at a wild party and she’s hated me ever since.
She’s gorgeous and sarcastic. She’s stubborn and yet vulnerable.
She’s also got secrets. More than I can guess.
And somehow the ground shifts underneath me.
In the clash between love and logic, there’s no mystery as to which one will win.
I’ve been warned about the complications. I’ve been warned we’ll get ripped to shreds.
I dare anyone to try.
There’s nothing I won’t do to protect this girl.
No matter what it costs me.

She winced and cleared her throat. “Look, I don’t know if it matters to you after all this time but inviting random guys home has never been one of my habits.”
“In that case I was glad to volunteer as the exception.”
The light changed and the walk sign flashed. Taylor waited until we’d reached the opposite sidewalk before speaking again.
“I’m really sorry I was so rude to you when you showed up the next day.”
“No worries. My hand recovered nicely after you crushed it in your front door.”
“I don’t remember crushing your hand.”
“You were busy composing four letter expletives.”
She clucked her tongue. “An accusation I can’t deny.”
“By the way, I never did figure out how to go piss up a flagpole.”
“What? That’s not terminology I would use.”
“No? My devastated feelings might be interfering with my memory.”
“Again, sorry. You were just being nice.” She paused. “I was going through some life crap at the moment.”
“Apology accepted.”
“I didn’t really crush your hand, did I?”
I held out my right hand and flexed. “It’s okay. My physical therapist promises that someday I might be able to hold a pencil again.”
She snorted. “Now I know you’re full of shit.”
I balled my hand into a fist and shadow boxed. “Sometimes.”
My Thoughts <3
I am a HUGE fan of Cora Brent and the Gentry family. These books are so raw and emotional but also so fully of heart. She knows exactly how to keep a reader interested and heavily invested in the characters. I am SO excited each time I see that a new book is coming out to keep up with this wonderful, huge family.
Now on to CLASH, my gosh Kellan Gentry is absolutely the swoon worthy hottie that you would hope to find in a romance novel. He is a bit cocky, not horribly, but has great charisma and is absolutely charming. He has definitely met his match with Taylor, who is not a stranger by the way, he knows her body quite well after a one night stand years ago. It just does not help that the one night stand ended up a huge issue the next day. FF years later and she is a HUGE bind, could one of our favorite Gentry boys help this former rich girl out?
This book was absolutely fabulous. I cannot recommend it enough for you to read. Even if you do not know that past characters, you will still love the interactions between Kellan and Taylor as well as all of the supporting characters. I dare you to read this and not fall in love with the characters and world that Cora Brent has created. Now if you know how amazing this world is already, then you will giddily reading the next pages to see what is next in store for Kellan and Taylor and the family. If you are looking for a book that will give you all the feels – literally all the feels- then CLASH is a must read for you!
PS: Thank you so much to Cora Brent and Give Me Books PR for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!
Author Bio
Cora Brent was born in a cold climate and escaped as soon as it was legally possible. Now, she lives in the desert with her husband, two kids and a prickly pear cactus she has affectionately named ‘Spot’. Cora’s closet is filled with boxes of unfinished stories that date back her 1980’s childhood and all her life she has dreamed of being an author. Amazingly, she is now a New York Times and USA Today bestselling writer of contemporary romance and begs not to be awakened from this dream.
