5 stars for Tenley and Clancy! Jacob Chance is an auto buy for me, I absolutely love his writing with real characters and great situations and sports thrown into the mix. CHECKED marks all of those as well!
Tenley is 21 years old with a good head on her shoulder. She does what she would like to do and it so happens that her BFFs hot cousin just came open on the menu, she just has to keep it a secret. No one will know right? That is until she ends up pregnant. Clancy’s life is regimented, the ultimate goal is going into the NHL and doing what he loves for the rest of his life. He does not have time for outside distractions and that includes girlfriends, until the night with his cousins best friend makes him look twice at a girl, but still NHL is key, until he finds out she is pregnant.
This book was great! I loved how it wasn’t insta-love and there was a solid relationship built between these two. Tenley and her pregnancy hormones were freaking great and I loved how Clancy was a really freaking good guy! Everything moved smoothly and the shift through the timeline was organic and fluid. All in all, I recommend reading this book if you enjoy sports romance with feisty women and dependable guys!
