HOW HAVE I NOT READ MORE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES YET?!?! Sorry to yell, but omg, Buried Destiny is a standalone and Anne Malcom did a wonderful job of making me feel as if I was not missing out on any of this story because I have not read the previous books, but I WANTED to stop what I was doing and go back and read them first to see how everything was playing out. There is definitely a big picture here, which is really awesome.
Now about the book, wowzerrrssss. I am usually opposed to 3rd person books, but with the writing style, I did not feel as if I was missing anything at all and almost forgot a few times that it was not in the first person. The characters are amazing and all of them have their special quirks and attitudes and I loved them all. This might have been Sophie’s story, but there is so much more going on, without it being overwhelming.
All in all this book was an amazing paranormal romance in which things are a little witchy and you can easily connect to the characters. I cannot wait to go back and read the other books and be on the lookout for future ones- amazing job and 5 stars from me!
