Daniel Loveless seems to have been caught in an orbit the past 6 years in which his daughter has been the center of it. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but when he is faced with the chance that he might loose her, he lied to the judge saying that he was engaged.... to his best friend Charlie. Charlie would do anything for Daniel and Rusty and if all she has to do is strap on an engagement ring and show up in court and show her support, she is in. But, we all know that is not the way it goes right? Read this book to see what happens when a lie spirals out of control and then turns into something WAY more!
All in all, Roxie Noir has an amazing writing style that I completely dig. I love the fake engagement trope so freaking much, but she was able to spin this so it was something completely new. It could be the backstory or the extra characters, but I am a fan! Daniel and Charlie might have been pretty platonic, but these two definitely lust after each other and this was a sweet story with some major chemistry! I highly recommend you check this book out!
