Title: Awakening: Rise as the Fall Unfolds
Author: Carissa Andrews
Publication date: November 12th 2019
Genres: Science Fiction, Thriller, Urban Fantasy
The multiverse is in shambles without all its pieces in place and the darkness is coming for them. Five angels have to pull a course correction—but they have to all agree first.
Morgan’s been a psychic, tasked with awakening angels in her dimension for the past twenty years. Finding this purpose and calling was a blessing… and a curse. She never expected it would lead her to a single supernatural suicide mission to save all of creation, with the final five angels at her side.
All they have to do is figure out the missing piece and how their individual angelic gifts fit together. Too bad their humanity is clouding their judgment and none of them can get on the same page long enough to make a coordinated plan.
When they finally realize the missing piece and how they fit into the puzzle, it means leaving behind everything they’ve ever known in the hopes of changing fate. The decision isn’t taken lightly. But if they don’t accept their roles and come together, none of it will matter.
If they fail, existence ceases.

My Thoughts <3
I will start this off by saying that this book was extremely interesting to read and I was engaged throughout it, but I was NOT expecting the story I read with the blurb that was provided. After reading the book and re-reading the blurb I can SEE how it does fit, but it was a bit misleading to me and give the book a 4 outta 5.
Key Takeaways from the Book:
-Religion is mentioned a lot in here and has a pretty profound meaning. So, if you are a bit touchy on your religious beliefs and Christianity- this is probably not the story for you.
– The characters are extremely well written, their actions and explained well throughout their character ARC.
– The overall story is thoughtfully created and an interesting *AH HA* moment definitely happens towards the end. I am not sure how I feel about how it all plays out though because even though this book is portrayed as Science Fiction/Urban Fantasy, there are just a few things are hitting fairly close to home.
All in all, this book is extremely well written with an interesting story and well thought out characters. If you are even remotely a bit touchy with religion/Christianity- you will more than likely not enjoy reading this. But, if you have an open mind and do not connect the story with real life, then you will enjoy the book!
PS: Thank you to Carissa Andrews and Xpresso Book Tours for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!
