Today we are celebrating the release of ACHE by S.M. Soto.

It is a standalone, second chance romance novel.

Blurb

A second chance romance.

What happens when you fall for the boy next door?

Bea Norwood had the market on normal.

Drama free life? Check.

A single-mother who doubled as her confidant and partner in crime? Check.

A neighbor and best friend she trusted more than anyone? Check.

But that was until the day her mother remarried. The day that changed everything.

When her best friend’s cousin, Liam Falcon, is sent to live with his aunt and uncle to clean up his act, Bea finds herself falling for the boy next door. With their hearts so infinitely entwined, Bea turns to Liam as her only escape from her new step-brother’s daily torment at home. Bea thought their love could conquer anything. But she was wrong. Love was for fools, and she was the biggest fool of them all. When Liam left Lakeport, he took her heart with him, shattering the organ to pieces.

Six years later, Liam takes a trip back to Lakeport to visit his family, and to see HER.

His first love.

The girl who holds his heart.

The same girl who shattered it six years ago without looking back.

Liam is hell-bent on seeing Bea again after six years, but what he finds tears his heart in half. Bea Norwood is a shell of the girl he fell in love with. Underneath the baggy clothes, and pale skin, he knows she’s still in there somewhere, he just needs to find her.

Liam will stop at nothing to win his girl back, but sometimes, ignorance is bliss, and Liam isn’t prepared for Bea’s truth.

My Thoughts <3

This book broke my freaking heart, but thankfully was able to put it back together.

It was a tough read, but extremely necessarily. I loved how SM Soto made sure that both Bea and Liam were able to share their voice and how she did not leave the tough stuff out. There are a lot of triggers in this and it just throws you into it, but again it was necessary to fully understand what is going on here.

Bea feel in love at such a young age to her best friend/neighbor’s cousin that came to visit. Their love was so pure but Liam felt as if he had to make something of himself and Bea often times did not understand how this amazing older guy could be interested in her. They had such a true and pure love that it was absolutely beautiful to read about. But then Liam had an opportunity to further his future and move away to a different school to be scouted, so he took it to further cement his and Bea’s future. That day changed everything for Bea.

I want to cry and throw everything around me after reading about what Bea went through for 6 LONG years. The fear, the degradation, the pain and suffering that this poor girl was put through because she had no one that she could speak to about the trouble and situation that she was in.

Then, Liam comes back and everything changes.

This book is heartbreakingly beautiful. I felt ALL emotions while reading about this pure love that was soiled but prove that soul mates do exist. I recommend this book so freaking highly! 5 outta 5 stars for sure.

PS: I received this book for free but am voluntarily reviewing with my honest opinion.
