Want a sexy rocker, a badass chick, and some danger?

This a little longer than a novella, but not as long as a full length novel. I normally skip books this length and go for full length, but I am super glad that I didn’t! This was a great read and I already read the 2nd book in the series, which was great as well!

I adored this book! The characters were easy to relate to, the story line was great, sweet and sexy romance, and a dash of danger included.

Let’s get to it!

Cross is a sexy drummer for Courting Chaos, the opening act for Kissing Cinder. He plays with 3 other guys, 2 that are pretty awesome friends and he started the band and another purely as that they needed a bass player that is a major douche canoe. He is a stand-up guy that is not all about the “hit it and quit it” rock star life. He is excited about this chance to tour with Kissing Cinder, as they are extremely popular (think of Metallica fandom) and it is a huge opportunity. for him and the band

Indie is the college-aged daughter of a rock god that is in Kissing Cinder. The only time that she gets quality time with her dad is when she spends summers with him on his tour. She loves the excitement and the band is like her second family. She is a talented photographer still trying to figure out exactly what she wants to do with her life. Yes, her father is absolutely famous, but she wants to be able to rely on herself, which is really admirable!

Cross and Indie meet when she arrives at the venue and is snapping a few photos for her dad and the band. Cross sees her and automatically assumes that she is a groupie, since her press badge is hidden by her camera. They get into it with each other without realizing exactly who each other is. Once they realize the mistake, Cross decides to apologize and thus a beautiful friendship is born.

I really like how this story took it’s time, but not too slowly. It was really building up on the friendship of Cross and Indie and it was super sweet. There was a dash of danger mixed in as well, but I do not want to go into that and give away spoilers, who likes that?!
