Well, I am at a loss for words right now. I LOVE SM Soto's writing, she has gripping scenes that capture your attention and keeps it suspenseful! I was SOOO ready for this book to see how this duet ends because the cliffhanger in the first one was absolutely brutal. That being said, I was disappointed with Bury Me With Lies. It still has the suspense and definitely gripping, but just a bit odd. Spoilers are awful so I can't go into details, it just was not really my cup of tea.
All in all, this duet is not my favorite one by SM Soto, it is still an interesting and captivating read, but it is not on the same level that I have come to expect.I give the overall duet a 4 outta 5 and this book is 3.5 out of 5.
