Oh Carson, my heart goes out to this guy SO much! We learned about him in Merciless Saints and I have been wanting to get underneath those layers since. The Koslovs are just fan-freaking-tastic and I absolutely adore him! This one is a little different than the previous books in the series because while Carson knows and understands this world, Hailey has no freaking idea and is just a normal girl with VERY normal reactions.

All in all this was a great book and I loved getting to know Carson and Hailey more. We get to view this dark world through the eyes of someone newly thrown into it and it lets us (as readers) understand even more than what we thought we did. These two are complete opposites but they offset each other in a beautiful way and there is absolutely NO denying the chemistry between them! I give it 4.5 outta 5 stars and while I am super excited to get Demitri’s book, I CANNOT wait for Alexei’s story since we meet him ages ago!
