Our small group of soldiers for hire are keeping our backyard safe, doing everything in our power to keep the unthinkable from happening.
But SCIDRE? Don’t even get me started. They’ve been good at keeping secrets and covering up some pretty monumental experiments gone wrong.
It’s only a matter of time.

I envy the mainstream population for their ignorance.
I, on the other hand, tend to obsess over the impending end of the world, the apocalypse the people in charge deny is possible. But I’ve grown up being told it’s inevitable. I’ve been trained to survive it, though, honestly, I’m not certain anyone can.
My odds are better than most.
In theory.

Author’s Note: This book is a standalone as far as the romance story goes, but the zombie theme in the background will carry over into other books in the future series. That being said, this book will leave you with a few unanswered questions, for now.

My Thoughts <3

This is an EXCELLENT Apocalyptic Romance! There is a good backstory, it sets everything up extremely well and then delivers a complex romance during the WORST time. The book is humorous, action packed, a complicated romance and way more than the typical zombie/apocalypse romance. I am a huge fan and really appreciate what S. Jackson Rivera has done so far with the book and series. I just hope that I will get the second book ASAP! 4.5 outta 5 stars from me!

PS: I would like to thank S. Jackson Rivera and Enticing Journey Book Promotion for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly.

Author Bio

S Jackson Rivera grew up on a ranch in eastern Oregon, swimming at the local hot springs; riding horses, which even included herding cattle; and daydreaming. She feels fortunate to have made a career of the latter–Best job ever.
Still a small town girl at heart, she’s adjusted to the city life, okay, so maybe not the NYC kind of city life, but coming from a town with a population of 320 …
She now resides in Utah with her husband-her ‘Own Personal Hero’, loving life, scuba diving as often as possible, enjoying her growing family, and writing books that are probably too steamy for Utah, but not steamy enough for the rest of the world.
