| I give this book a solid 4.5 outta 5! It was fast paced and descriptive without going over board on creating an imagery for the reader. I have not read Amy McKinley before, but I am totally going to be following this series and her other books from now on! Chris wakes up with no memory and being stuck in trees, he has no idea who he is, how he got there, and how he is going to get down. Then he blacks out. Mari is escaping Columbia and will basically do anything she needs to do to make that happen. She is driven and a little scary, but not too much if that makes sense. With some help she comes across Chris and the two work together to leave. He doesn’t remember what even his name is and she can’t stop remember who she is, can something come from these two being confined in such close quarters? This book was ACTION freaking packed. I love how it just jumped all the way in right at the beginning. I liked the characters and even though Chris doesn’t know who he is, you can tell that he is a good and honorable man. Mari is just awesome, she had major skills but also realistic, and some pretty crazy secrets! These two should not have the chemistry that they do, but man is it SUPER hot and the story line worked extremely well, fast but not TOO fast. I am intrigued and will definitely checking out the rest of the series! All in all, read this book if you like action-packed thrillers with honorable men and some freaking strong women.
